The problem

The right height at every work zone

Line and base maintenance require access to many zones at different heights: the tail and APU compartment, the landing gear bays, the engine cowlings and the passenger and cargo doors. Using one general-purpose ladder or platform for all of them costs time and creates risk.

Purpose-built stands put technicians at the correct height for each task, with a stable deck and room for tools, and can be moved quickly between aircraft.

Our approach

Stands sized to the task and the aircraft

  • Zone-specific platforms: THS compartment and APU, main and nose landing gear, engine under-cowl.
  • Capacity: access platforms for up to 4 people; door stairs with a safe working load of 2 persons.
  • Height adjustment: screw-jack, hydraulic or electric.
  • Lifting: compact, detachable MRO cranes up to 5 t.
  • All aircraft types: fixed-wing, rotary-wing, drone and VTOL.

FAQ

Access platforms and stairs: common questions

Which access stands do you make?

Access platforms for the THS compartment and APU zone, main and nose landing gear and engine under-cowl work, carrying up to 4 people, as well as height-adjustable stairs for passenger and cargo doors.

What height range do your door stairs cover?

Our height-adjustable stairs cover 2.5 to 6.5 m, which spans passenger door sills from narrow-body aircraft such as the Boeing 737 (2.46–2.79 m) and the Airbus A320 family (3.42–3.73 m) to wide-body main decks such as the Boeing 747 (4.52–5.46 m) and the Boeing 777 (4.69–5.66 m). The safe working load is 2 persons.

What is the typical lead time?

Typically 2 months from order.

Steel or aluminium, fixed or mobile?

Aluminium or steel structures are available. Castors and stabilisers are common; hydraulic or electric traction is optional.

What lifting capacity do your MRO cranes have?

Our MRO cranes lift up to 5 t to a height of up to 6 m. They are compact and detachable, with hydraulic or mechanical operation and an electric drive option.

Can the stands be made for a specific aircraft?

Yes. We design access equipment for all aircraft types, including fixed-wing, rotary-wing, drone and VTOL aircraft.
